ian had one similar to a shredmaster which i think was called a drive master, that was nice, less harsh, nice and warm.......
i dont tend to use dist/od pedals too much, can u set it up with a low drive on ur amp then add drive with the shred master somehow? thats probably sound better in the long run

I'd have to say that although that was a great pedal it wasnt made to be used in conjunction with a shredder. you need to account for what sammie c uses. i believe it's a rat correct? if so steer clear you will have sound thickness problems me and chris struggled with a metal zone/fabtone they where too similar. i'd reccomend a roger meyer fuzzface for your style al or maybe a big muff pi there are currently loads on ebay cos eh are selling up.

I posted an ebay auction for a Distortion+ with a buy it now of ?65 the other day, but it's been bought now. I'm a big fan of my distortion+ but it's got a lot of treble, which sammie has too so I think you'd do well to get something with more bass, or at least a tone control. Hmm, to be honest for once I can't think of a suggestion. I think a fuzz face type pedal is the wrong way to go, fuzz doesn't really cut through that easily live so you'd really have to work with it. Dare I say a Boss Blues Driver, an interesting sounding pedal from the blandest effects company in the world.

All you gotta remember is that Metal Zone's are the worst things ever.
Less gain is more clarity and cuts through the sound better.
what's wrong with your amp distortion anyway?
